Over the weekend while bar tending at Bimbo’s Cantina, Victoria Liss received a less than generous tip after serving a man and woman chips & salsa with guacamole and one double decker pork taco. Not only was the gratuity 0%, the customer added a personal message that has a number of Seattle area service industry workers infuriated. Here’s what Victoria had to say:

Just a couple of words on this…
First of all, if you’re such an idiot that you’re going to write an abusive message on a credit card slip where you maliciously tip ZERO, you deserve whatever treatment going forward (short of food adulteration). The restaurant community, as large as it seems to be, is a pretty tight-knit community. However, if you are a waiter or bartender, it should give you pause to use social media to exact revenge. First of all, there could be collateral damage to innocent people with the same name, as was the case here. Additionally, you risk losing your job and you invite harassment back.
To the guy who did this, sounds like you could stand to gain some weight…in da brain.

So You Want to Be A Waiter
Funny – you redact his name, but this story is ALL over the net. Has been for days. It is not hard to figure it out. Doesn’t you link to the article mention it?
Tipping zero is an offense, but not punishable by publishing the guy’s name imo. However the nasty comment on the bottom? Although I wouldn’t do it, I don’t blame her for retaliating. That is cruel.
I do feel bad for the guys on FB that have the same name as that sod.
I didn’t redact his name, the first article that I linked to did. The second article that I linked to didn’t. I chose not to publish his name because, as you point out, it’s all over the net. Plus, the person’s name is clearly noted in the second post. And, as I noted in my comments and as you yourself point out, there’s already been some collateral damage to people who share the same name. I have a certain respect for certain aspects of privacy. Today’s offender could be tomorrow’s YOU or ME, caught in the accidental web of an evil “Skippy” or “Teleburst”.
